Art Poetry

For Lynne

by Susan Cowger 3 Comments

Undeterred by clouds or other routines,
she checks each day
for a message

testing the tension
on a thin wire of patience
strung across wide
wide skies.

~

 I love you for this.

A thin wire of patience. This really resonates with me. I picture it stronger than steel, silk. Invincible.

Your images flutter to mind many times long after I've read the poem. That gossamer wire is one.
