Promises tattooed with a stick into sand
Faith 
relentlessly
mouths assurance 
Through terrifying intersections of flesh
and truth
So still
somehow 
love’s
understood.

    Love's understood. Reminds me of how all the vowels in Hebrew are implied — just like love.
