June 21. Twenty-One Words.

The heart
has it’s own nervous system,
developed before the brain’s
nervous system—
a few weeks after conception,
heart cells beat.

Yes, Keisha–found it just like that. Didn't touch a thing. I suspected it was part of a larger rock so didn't try to put it in my pocket 🙂

And so it begins — all this time woven down to a beat in a nervous system all it's own. Oh, the power of a beat. One solitary beat, a silhouette of time.

I appreciate so much your words, but as my interests lie more toward photographs please understand when I am more drawn to the pictures. This one is gorgeous!

Did you really see a rock like that?

    Your poetry is life giving.

    Thank you.

it all starts in the heart…why then do we overthink things…smiles.

hey dont sweat my post today, i love crit. it was more focused at the arogant that think they are the only one that can write poetry…your note on the poem the other day was great and it cleaned it up nice…just wanted to make sure you did not think it was directed at you…smiles.
