OK, EP, I will try again while my seesta is trying to nurse her beloved bulldog back to health after surgery. How bout just plain CLOUDS, or how bout ETCHED, or STAINS, or STABS, or CRIES, or RISE. No, I am not the poet in the family but that doesn’t stop me. Just trying to be helpful.

Hey, Goat, I think we should call our new 5,7,7 style of haiku a hawku. haw haw haw

Oh dear. The Seestas strike again. One has gone round the bend and the other is way over in the clear blue yonder. snort snort snort

    Sorry EP.

    Volcanic shreik has three syllables.
Both echoing and stifling cloud have three, which would make perfect middle lines HAHAHAH–can you tell Pig Woman and I are from the same family? OK we need a one syllable word here! How about SIGHS?

How about “echoing”? Hey. This is fun. I like fill in the blank.

    Brilliant.

One of your best. Simple, vivid, precise. I can feel the wet air and slump under the gray sky. The TOADS. Yes.
