Night

Fields of strong young stars
Recite guttural prayers
Disguise hope as night

Hope for us is in death. Pure irony.

Here is my effort from yesterday:

    cool night air asks but
    boldness cowers embers pop
    illuminating

    rough blue moonlit stones
    exit avails itself
    destiny calls out

    smoke aroma wafts
    inquiring huddled crowd presses
    tears reveal a truth

    A life in secrets
    Transparency means unease.
    Turn the other way.

    Prevail.
