August 15th. Four days worth of words.

Words Switch Sides all the Time

Close your eyes and imagine a simple term
like water. Isn’t water good—after a thaw,
stunning, a rushing baptism of beauty—
but wait, doesn’t good signify a spar with the eternal
summer heat, when, as one-sided as the word thirsty,
redemption finally falls from the sky?

When I think of it, it is amazing we communicate
at all.

Yes S. Etole–I have a quote on my desk that says:…every writer should be aware that he might be read by the desperate, by people who might be persuaded toward life or death… (john Gardner). Create life or destroy it.

Greetings to you Pierre! Love the photos of France on your blog. Je suis désolé je ne parle pas français. The sky is a universal language, no? I espeially like the photos with before pics in them–interesting!

So the art of storytelling, it's really more the mixing paint than the tracing of ruler's edge. Even blackest black is alchemy of color.

    Splendid turn.

I love considering something as simple as a single word.

I in no way can comment the way you do, you make a comment into pure poetry…

    But, simply put.
Thank you for always giving insight to what I so often miss.
